The Ashland Police Department is committed to providing professional public safety services to our residents, business partners and visitors. Ashland Police Officers work as a team with the public to meet this goal of a safe, orderly and peaceful community, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The dedicated professionals of the Ashland Police Department serve a population of over 5,000 citizens. Our staff includes thirteen sworn police officers (9 full-time & 4 part-time), and one civilian staff. Every member of the Ashland Police Department truly cares about the safety of our community and providing excellent customer service. Our staff responds to the public safety needs of the community with the most effective measures available within our existing resources with the primary focus of ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens and visitors.

What’s so great about the City of Ashland? Location, for one. Ashland is situated virtually exactly between Jefferson City and Columbia on US Highway 63. If you can’t find it in Ashland, everything you need is within a 15 minute drive. With a population of over 5,000 and growing, Ashland is one of the fastest growing cities in Missouri. Love the Missouri River views? A short westbound drive out of town and you’re on the banks. Ashland is also home of the Southern Boone School District, widely regarded as the best school system in the region.
